This private equity firm had a pretty unique business challenge–most likely very different from most private equity firms, but very critical to the business. The firm needed the ability to deliver a talent sourcing application to their business…and they needed it fast. The firm’s talent recruiters needed a way to efficiently source CXO data and CXO talent from the open marketplace in order to place entire executive teams into their portfolio companies to help deliver a turnaround for the business. The business outcome would be a profit to the firm’s investors when the firm divested from the portfolio company.
What made this a more complex was that the firm needed to bring in talent data that was openly and publicly available on the web–LinkedIn, for example–but without those individuals’ knowledge. They wanted this capability so they could compile a database of executives that would provide them as much information as possible, including who they’re linked to or have worked with in the past and other relationships so they could be approached as part of a team if applicable. So, for example, if one of the portfolio companies needed a chief marketing officer and a chief revenue officer who had worked together, based on the guidance of the senior partners of that firm or the PE firm, the database could be searched for executives that meet that criteria.
In just eight weeks, AKA and the client delivered a Power App solution that did just that. But the solution also gave the firm the ability to download resumes from multiple sources and then search and filter on complex data. The solution enables the talent team to deliver faster results to the partners, which ramps up turnaround time for this portfolio.
